It got me thinking about maps. Someone had to do the legwork of exploring the different areas, and designing these maps into a format we use at the moment. I'm also aware that the "A-Z" of London is only a rough guide to London. If I want to know London, or any city for that matter, I'm going to have to explore it myself. No street map can ever capture the sights, sounds and smell of an area.
I have written elsewhere that the stories I share are reminders to myself about what it means to be true to myself. The stories are also my contribution to the human experience. My intention is to share my findings, which readers may use as maps or guides to explore who they are. A map can only point out the way but the real work of self-discovery remains with each individual.
My dream is to experience and share thousands of ways of being.
Incidentally, I received an email from a friend who reads my blogs and he made the following comment:
Thanks Enocia. You really are doing a good thing by writing your thoughts.I am so grateful to the travel guides who have left maps that I have found very useful in my "journey." I'm delighted to share ideas that others can use as maps if they so choose.
With love.
Enocia
