"Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart." Psalm 37: 4A friend shared with me that when he was at a workshop everyone was asked what their deepest desires were. Someone, for instance, wanted her kids to be happy and well provided for. My friend said he only wanted to go into the Light. He said he felt bad that he didn't wish happiness for his kids. I believed what my friend had asked for was more important - the one true desire.
What's more important than to know who you are as Light and Love? When you are being Love-Light everyone around you benefits from your love including your loved ones.
I'm reminded of the Biblical story of King Solomon who after succeeding his father to the throne prayed for wisdom and knowledge to help him rule his people. God not only granted Solomon wisdom and knowledge but wealth, riches and honour. 2 Chronicles 1: 10-12
In Matthew, Jesus teaches that instead of worrying about how your needs are to be taken care one must first seek to know God or your true self:
As you can see King Solomon did actually want to experience his true self as wisdom and knowledge, which resulted in all things i.e. wealth, riches, glory, being added to him."But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." Matthew 6: 33
I believe there is only one true desire: to know and be the true self whose attributes include: beauty, wisdom, life, love, truth, abundance, freedom, and peace. Then you get to experience heaven on earth.
I believe my friend's desire to know his true self as Light will result in the other things added unto him, including happiness and prosperity for his children.
